ACER draft amendments to the Network Code on Requirements for Generators – EUGINE Comments

EUGINE responded to the consultation on ACER’s draft amendments to the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 of 14 April 2016 establishing a Network Code on Requirements for Grid Connection of Generators (‘NC RfG’).
In our comments and proposals, we underline the need to, among others:
- Set up procedures for operational notification and compliance schemes, including tests, simulations and the application of certificates, in line with the conclusions of the Expert Group on Harmonization of Certification and product Family grouping;
- Further improve the definition of “synchronous power-generating module”;
- Address the issue of “limited frequency sensitive mode at overfrequency” or “LFSM-O” requirements.
